Four people were taken to hospital and an arrest made following a serious crash at a road junction.
Three women in a white Toyota Aygo were injured, two seriously, following a collision with a black Vauxhall Astra which had been pursued by police prior to the incident.
It happened at Garlinge, near Margate, at the junction between the High Street and Shottendane Road shortly after 9.30am yesterday (May 24).
A police spokesman said: “Emergency services attended and two women in the Toyota were taken to a London hospital where they remain in a serious but stable condition.
“Another woman, who was a passenger in the same car ,was taken to a local hospital for treatment.”
A 23-year-old man, who is believed to have been in the Vauxhall, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in custody.
He was also taken to a local hospital for medical attention.
Officers from the force’s serious collision investigation unit are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances .

Prior to the crash, the Vauxhall had been involved in a pursuit involving Kent Police and, as police say is standard procedure, a mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
