A Ramsgate town councillor says he refuses to be intimidated after vandals sprayed his garage doors with anti-Ukip graffiti.
Trevor Shonk told the Thanet Extra it was the second attack in two weeks.
As well as swear words, the vandals daubed the word 'racist' and drew a Swastika on Mr Shonk's doors.
The Ukip county councillor said: “It is an absolute disgrace that people have resorted to this.
“A neighbour said they had spotted about three people on Saturday morning at about 3am.”
“I talk with anti-Ukip members all the time and have banter; at the end of the day I’m here to serve Ramsgate” - Cllr Shonk
Mr Shonk reported the incident to police on Monday and had the garage repainted on Wednesday.
“My garage is on the school route and language like that shouldn’t be seen by children so I had it repainted as soon as I could.
“If they want to attack my garage I will not be intimidated.
“I am a Ramsgate man and I stand for local issues, it’s a real worry to the country as a whole that such political hate can lead to these actions.
“I talk with anti-Ukip members all the time and have banter; at the end of the day I’m here to serve Ramsgate.”
Mr Shonk said the garage had been targeted last year and believes the same culprits are responsible.
“It’s the same type of paintwork and particularly hard to get off the brickwork. It costs me about £500 to get repainted.
“I don’t hold grudges and I’ve never caused harm to anyone, I would just like them to be caught and to know why they have done this.”
A Kent Police spokesman said: "No arrests have been made, but further enquiries will be carried out if anything new comes to light."
