Engineers had to examine a railway bridge after a vehicle struck it, briefly halting trains.

Services were held up between Margate and Ramsgate for a short period after the incident in Broadstairs this morning.

However, the bridge was quickly checked and trains were able to run over it again.

Southeastern apologised for the disruption caused.
