Canterbury Crown Court heard that the 77-year-old now suffers from "mobility issues" as a result of the incident which occurred between the A255 roundabout and Ramsgate fire station just before 12.30pm.

It was reported at the time that the pedestrian had to be flown to a London hospital by air ambulance following the crash on December 14, 2022.

Appearing in court on Tuesday (May 28), Fricker, of Nixon Road, Ramsgate, pleaded not guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

She was released on bail, with her trial due to start on December 9.
