Woman, 70s, treated in hospital after e-scooter crash in Broadstairs

A woman in her 70s was treated in hospital after a crash with an e-scooter.

The collision happened on Broadstairs Road, Broadstairs, near the junction with Fairfield Road just before 6pm on Saturday, February 10.

Police and ambulance services were scrambled to the scene before the female pedestrian was treated at a local hospital.

She has since been discharged and the scooter was seized at the scene.

Police say they have spoken to the rider and urged anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.

A spokesman for the force said: “Officers would like to speak to anyone with dashcam footage of the collision, or who witnessed the incident and has yet to speak to police.

“Anyone with information is urged to call 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/ZY/11394/24.”
