Police are hunting a man who tried to grab a woman and pull her out of her car as she left a car park.

Police say the incident happened yesterday at around 9.30pm.

The woman, in her 70s, was driving out of a car park in Belgrave Road, Margate, when the would-be robber opened her car door and grabbed at her.

She was able to push him away and it is believed the man ran off towards Eaton Hill. The victim was not injured and it’s believed nothing was taken.

Detectives are poring through available CCTV, but would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything or witnessed the incident.
