A woman was taken to hospital seriously injured after being stabbed.

Police were called to Auckland Avenue, Ramsgate, at about 10.40pm on Monday to assist ambulance crews.

The victim, in her 30s, was taken to a hospital in London for treatment.

It is believed the person responsible is known to the victim.

No arrests have been made and police say inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
