A woman has been taken to hospital following a crash.

The Street in Acol was shut by police between Minster Road and Margate Hill this morning.

Emergency services were called at about 10.19am and officers closed the road for several hours.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to a collision in The Street, Acol, at 10.19am.

"The South East Coast Ambulance Service was also called and a full road closure was enforced.

"The Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance also attended the scene, by road, and a woman has since been conveyed to a London Hospital."
