The tragic death of a baby has sparked a police investigation and two arrests.

Officers were called to the QEQM Hospital in Margate after concerns were raised about the little boy on Friday morning.

When detectives arrived, they arrested a man in his 20s and a woman in her late teens.

The baby was later taken to a hospital in London, but sadly died on the same day.

A police spokesman said: "The man and woman have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

"A post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause of the baby’s death."
