Margate's winless start to the season continued on Saturday when they lost at home to 10-man Dartford.
The visitors were dominant early on at Hartsdown Park and they took the lead just before the half-hour mark when Lee Noble headed in a Barry Cogan cross.
Lee Burns, making his first appearance of the season having missed all of pre-season due to work commitments, was dismissed after the break for two bookable offences.
But still the home side couldn't rouse themselves and Tom Bradbrook turned Jack Simmons' cross against the bar before Elliot Bradbrook converted Noble's corner to make it 2-0.
Deren Ibrahim saved a couple of late Margate efforts but Tony Burman's men held on for an impressive win.
They're now ninth in Vanarama National League South ahead of Monday's derby clash at home to Ebbsfleet while Margate, who travel to Concord, are 18th with just four points to their name.
