Ramsgate host Thamesmead on Saturday in a game both sides will feel they need to win.

With just three points each from their first four games in Bostik South East, the two Kent rivals are chasing a result to kickstart their season.

Ramsgate head coach Lloyd Blackman is ready for the challenge posed by visiting manager Tommy Warrilow.

"I know Tommy very well," he said. "He’s made a few changes and brought in a couple of decent players.

"I don’t think he had the start he wanted and you could say the same about us.

"If our performance levels are of the standard I expect, we give ourselves an opportunity to get some points.

"But it’s never as straightforward as that especially against a strong side that Tommy’s built there and knowing the style he plays."

Blackman admitted Rams were below-par in their FA Cup tie at home to Sevenoaks on Saturday.

That game finished 1-1 but Ramsgate won the replay 3-1 on Tuesday night thanks to goals from Jack Penny, George Crimmen and Aaron Millbank.
