Ramsgate turned up to Phoenix Sports on Saturday missing one crucial thing – their kit.
The visitors borrowed Phoenix’s away strip for the Bostik South East match which finished 1-1.
Rams boss Lloyd Blackman said: “The Dartford tunnel was closed and our kit man got stuck on the M25.
“Phoenix were marvellous. They understood the situation and were quick to say ‘we’ve got our red away kit so it’s there if you need it’.
"We left it as late as we could but Ada only got there just before half-time.
“The issue was quickly dealt with and it didn’t cause any issues.
"Phoenix were very professional and very helpful."
Harry Stannard gave Ramsgate a fifth-minute lead but Alex Teniola equalised early in the second half.
Blackman said: “Going in 1-0 up at half-time was the least we deserved but over the 90 minutes, a point each was fair.
"We would have taken a point before the game against a side that was third in the league."
Ramsgate are at home to third-placed Hythe Town on Saturday.
Blackman said: "We're on a decent run ourselves, we haven't lost in five and haven't conceded many goals.
"There's no doubt they're a really good side. They've got some good players but we're confident and we'll give it our best shot."
Connor Sanders (ankle) could be involved while TJ Jadama, Aaron Millbank and Liam Dickson are all back in the frame too.
