Margate manager Terry Brown admits Saturday's Vanarama National League South game with Weston-super-Mare gives his side the perfect opportunity to end their home duck.
With two draws and three defeats, the Gate have yet to win a league fixture in front of their own fans this season, but Brown feels bottom club Weston could be there for the taking.
The Seagulls will arrive at Hartsdown with just one win from their opening 11 games and boasting the worst defensive record in the division, although they did push leaders Ebbsfleet all the way before losing 2-1 recently.
Brown was at Stonebridge Road to watch that game and while he won't be under-estimating Weston he does expect his side to take maximum points.
He said: "If we're going to be pushing for the play-offs we need to be winning the majority of our home games, but we've had an awful start to the season at Hartsdown in terms of games we ought to be winning and we haven't.
"The main problem is that we weren't scoring enough goals but in the last three games the front four seem to have found their form and we go into Saturday's fixture in a very positive frame of mind.
"These are the sort of matches we feel we ought to be winning so there will no excuses (if we don't)."
Lewis Taylor is Brown's one main injury doubt for the visit of the Seagulls. He has been struggling with an Achilles tendon problem and it could be at least another couple of weeks before the midfielder returns.
Brown added: "The problem doesn't appear to be clearing up but he had a scan this week and we may know a bit more by the weekend."
