Margate manager Jay Saunders has turned to a familiar face to assist him next season - and he can play too.
Jamie Coyle worked as a player-coach with Saunders at Maidstone United and he’s delighted to be working with the former Welling United and Dartford manager once again.
Saunders said: “We have always stayed in contact, he is a good coach, a great lad and a friend.
“He knows how I work and vice versa. He will be a really good addition and I am looking forward to working with him again
“He was excellent for me as a player, even when we got to the National Conference, he was one of my first pick centre halves.”
Coyle - a UEFA A Licence coach and FA tutor - spent last season playing for Hythe Town and brings bundles of experience with him around the Kent scene particularly.
“It was especially important to me to get the right person in to follow after Mike Sandmann,” added Saunders.
“I believe with Jamie we’ve got a great addition. Jamie’s experience, leadership and drive will be extremely valuable to me and the club as whole.”
