Ramsgate boss Steve Lovell has made his first two signings this summer, bringing in two players from Isthmian South East rivals Whitehawk.
Former Tonbridge striker Javaun Splatt notched 19 goals in Whitehawk’s 2021/22 campaign but has agreed to move to Southwood alongside left wing-back Leon Redwood.
Splatt started his career at Derby before he played at Longmead and then with Whitehawk, who struggled as they came 16th, while Redwood had a loan spell at Dover and also counts Brighton, Brentford, Chelmsford City, Lewes, Burgess Hill and Eastbourne Borough among his other former clubs.
“[It is] great to join such an ambitious club," Splatt told Ramsgate's website, as he starts to look ahead to the 2022/23 campaign.
“I had a good season at this level last year and now am really looking forward to pushing on and trying to achieve something special with this team.”
Redwood, 30, said: “I’m excited to join the club and looking forward to getting started, adding my experience and qualities to the side, pushing to win the league.
“I’m a player who can defend and attack, and I hope the fans will enjoy watching me.”
Ramsgate ended last term sixth in the table, a point outside the play-off places.
