Ramsgate will be seeking back-to-back league wins for the first time this season when they go to struggling Molesey on Saturday.
Two goals from Tom Chapman helped the Rams beat Whyteleafe 4-1 last weekend with Billy Munday and Alfie Paxman also on target at Southwood.
Putting a run of results together is now the target for Lloyd Blackman’s side if they want to start climbing the Bostik South table.
“We’ve got four tough fixtures coming up,” said the head coach. “Molesey had a good result on Saturday, 0-0 at Herne Bay, keeping a clean sheet when Herne Bay seem to be scoring quite freely.
“It’s going to be another challenging fixture but we go there trying to win back-to-back.
“We performed well on Saturday, collectively and individually and it was, at times, a gritty performance, which was pleasing.
“Our level of performance has been decent over the last few weeks and it was pleasing to get the result as well on Saturday.”
Munday opened the scoring on 20 minutes and although Lanre Azeez equalised for Leafe six minutes later, Ramsgate were quickly back in front through Chapman.
“Credit to the lads,” Blackman said. “We regrouped quickly and to go in 2-1 up was justifiable.
“In the second half we knew we’d hit them on the counter when opportunities came and to win the second half 2-0 was credit to the way they stuck to the task.
“The front three were excellent and it’s not just their quality in scoring goals, it’s the work they put in for the team as well. That’s essential.
“Defensively we looked solid, as well as in the midfield. They’re a big, experienced side and we dealt with them well.”
Ramsgate’s only injured player, Aaron Millbank, is almost ready to feature for the under-23s and could be back in the first-team squad within two weeks.
