Jamie Stuart is the latest Margate player to agree a contract extension with the club.

The 38-year-old defender has signed a new one-year deal at Hartsdown Park, and will also take on the role of weights and fitness coach.

Gate boss Terry Brown said: “Jamie brings a wealth of experience both on and off the field. He is superb with the players and his knowledge on fitness is improving our fitness levels to the maximum which is very important."

Brown will see his side in action for the first time on Saturday when Gate open their pre-season build-up with a trip to Windsor and Eton.
