Striker Jamie Taylor has left Margate to join their Vanarama National League South rivals Eastbourne Borough.
The 33-year-old joins Borough on a permanent deal after spending the past four weeks on loan at Priory Lane. It will be his second spell with the club, having played there from 2009-11.
Taylor joined Margate last season from Sutton United but was unable to pin down a regular place at Hartsdown Park this season, first under Terry Brown and then Nikki Bull following his appointment as manager in December.
He made just a handful of appearances although he did score twice against the club he has signed for when Margate won 4-1 at Priory Lane in September.
Taylor first came to prominence after scoring 105 goals for Horsham. His other clubs include Grays Athletic, AFC Wimbledon and Sutton.
Boro manager Tommy Widdrington said: "I am delighted that we have secured Jamie's services on a more permanent basis. He brings experience at this and a higher level, and something different to the squad.
"Of course he is well known to all at Priory Lane and his popularity is testament to him personally and to his performances in a Boro shirt."
