Margate have allowed two more players to leave Hartsdown Park as manager Nikki Bull clears the decks ahead of next season.
The club, who retained their Vanarama National League South status on the final day of the campaign, have confirmed that striker Christian Jolley and defender Jake Goodman have both left by mutual consent.
Both players had a year to run on their exisiting deals. However Goodman is keen to return to full-time football while Jolley expressed a desire to leave due to geographical reasons.
The decision to allow the pair to leave follows the departures earlier in the day of Chris Lewington, Jamie Stuart, Danny Green and Kane Wills.
Former England C forward Jolley signed for the Blues in June, 2015, but was a peripheral figure for much of the season and finished the campaign with just two goals, the first of which came against Maidenhead in January.
The striker, who turns 28 on May 12, began his career at Kingstonian and has previously also played at AFC Wimbledon, Newport County, Forest Green Rovers and Grimsby.
Goodman, 22, was signed by then Gate manager Terry Brown last summer and was pretty much a regular until picking up a three-game ban following his dismissal in the 2-0 home defeat to Oxford City in mid-March.
The centre-half's last appearance was the 4-1 defeat at Bishop's Stortford on April 16 when he was substituted at half-time.
Goodman had previously enjoyed loan spells at Staines Town, Luton Town, Aldershot Town and AFC Wimbledon having signed a professional contract at Millwall in 2012.
Gate now have just three players still under contract - Matt Johnson, Nathan Green and Charlie Wassmer.
