Margate boss Steve Watt says the Vanarama National South home clash against fellow-strugglers Gosport Borough is a game he wants to win.
Having halted the club's 18-match losing run with a 0-0 draw at Concord Rangers last week. Watt believes the game against their fellow bottom-three strugglers from Hampshire is the perfect chance of registering his first league victory in charge.
Watt has tinkered with his squad again this week bringing Michael Thalassitis back to Hartsdown Park, four months after he left the Thanet club, one of the first departures due to the playing budget being cut.
Thalassitis left to join Hemel Hempstead, but returns to Gate after two games on loan at Welling United, and goes straight into the squad to face Gosport.
He also released three players- midfielders Jake Phillips and Ryan Richefond as well as striker Keanu Williams.
Watt said: "I wanted to bring Michael in last week, but we couldn't reach an agreement.
"He then rang me to say he wanted to come back and help us, and it's great news.
"I know Michael very well, having played against him several times, and I believe if I can get him right and playing to his strengths, he could be one of the strongest strikers in in this league."
Another boost for Watt is the return of Matthias Fanimo after a long lay-off.
Watt added: "He came through a full training session on Thursday night, and it means we have got good numbers and good options for an important game like Gosport.
"It is one we will be trying to win, and a good opportunity to get three points.
"Myself and the management team have set ourselves little goals and targets.
"It's all about taking small steps - we have stopped the run of defeats - now we need to score - and get a result."
