Students at Hayesbrook Academy can be proud of themselves.
Their behaviour and attitudes have been rated 'outstanding' in the Tonbridge school's latest Ofsted report.
Overall, the school continues to be a ‘good’ school.
The visit by Ofsted inspectors last December was the first in almost six years.
The report praised the school's strengths in reading and literacy, careers provision, teachers’ subject knowledge, and the "meticulous" arrangements for safeguarding.
Inspectors said: "The behaviour and attitudes of students are exceptional," noting a positive attitude towards learning.
The school in Brook Street has 481 pupils, all boys apart from the mixed sixth form.
But as from September this year, the school which is part of the stable of 30 run by the Leigh Academies Trust, will begin its first stage of a journey to become fully co-educational and will be re-named the Leigh Academy Tonbridge.
Ofsted found that: “Senior leaders are relentless about raising standards and maintaining high expectations."
They found that there was "overwhelmingly positive" feedback from the parental community.
The school principal, Michael Crow, said: "This report recognises the very many strengths of Hayesbrook Academy, most importantly recognising the impeccable attitude and behaviour of our students.
"They are the reason we all get up in the morning and they bring their rich personality to Hayesbrook.
He said:"I am also delighted that the report recognises the strengths of the staff so that our students and parents can feel proud that they attend this school."
Mr Crow said: "This report provides an excellent foundation for us as we become co-ed, welcoming our first mixed cohort in September.
"It should give parents of boys and girls the confidence to know that there is a very good, mixed comprehensive school accessible to them in south Tonbridge."
