Tributes have been flooding in for an admired photographer who has died of suspected coronavirus.
Richard Bass, from Tonbridge, has been described as "an absolute gentleman and brilliant photographer", who captured the life and energy of people at weddings, stage performances and in numerous other settings.
A snapper for Mandy Ellen Performing Arts (MEPA) in Maidstone for many years, Mr Bass made a lasting impression on the students he worked with, one being Emily Louise Brown.
She said: "It's so sad to hear that such a kind and lovely man has sadly passed away.
"Richard captured so many memories and incredible photos during my dancing journey from the age of four to 18. You really will be missed Richard. My thoughts as well as the rest of the MEPA family throughout the years are with your family and friends."
She added the news makes the reality of the current pandemic much "more real", urging people to stay safe and at home.
Another former student at the Earl Street dance studio, Ben Brooker, said how Mr Bass was at almost every show he performed at, "to capture and harness the talent of many students and did so beautifully".
"Goodbye to one of the most inspiring people I have ever met"
Echoing Ms Brown's message, Mr Brooker added: "Let this man's and many other’s permanent absence be a lesson and reminder that the coronavirus is by no means a joke and should be treated with the upmost of care.
"I implore for everyone to listen to the guidelines that have been given to us and by doing so possibly saving lives as a result. Please, please, please stay at home."
The married father-of-two also captured memories of children at Bright Horizons preschool in Maidstone.
One worker at the nursery described him as a "wonderful, very talented man" who "captured memories that will last a lifetime".
She added: "He was forever smiling and always with his camera."
Of the many other tributes, one read: "I'm so shocked to hear an absolute gentlemen and brilliant photographer Richard Bass has passed away."
And another said: "Goodbye to one of the most inspiring people I have met in my life. Always so positive about life and such an amazing man."
