A man in his 80s has died following a medical incident in Tonbridge.

Emergency services were called to Higham Lane shortly before midday, and the air ambulance helicopter landed on playing fields nearby.

A police spokesman said the man's death is not being treated as suspicious, and next of kin have been informed.

The air ambulance service confirmed the man had suffered a cardiac episode.

A report will be filed for the coroner.
