Man charged with attempted murder after attack in Tonbridge High Street

Police have charged a man with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed at a High Street beauty salon in Tonbridge.

Officers were called to VCC Boutique shortly after 9am on Wednesday following reports a woman in her forties had been critically injured.

She remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police say the victim and the suspect are known to each other.

Thuan Dinh, 51, of Rowan Mews, Tonbridge has also been charged with possession of a knife in a public place and breaching a restraining order.

Mr Dinh has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on April 14.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward and anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01622 604 100, quoting crime reference 46/46236/20.
