The arrest came following information gathered by PCSOs, which helped locate the stolen motorcycles.

The officers, from the Tonbridge and Malling Community Safety Unit, have been cracking down on nuisance bikers after several reports of dangerous driving on footpaths and pavements in the area, including Carpenters Lane and Marshall Gardens.

They have been carrying out enquiries, speaking to potential victims of theft and working closely with partners, including local authorities.

District commander for Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, Ch Insp Pete Steenhuis said: "PCSOs provide a vital link to their local communities, enabling them to identity, understand and most importantly address concerns raised by residents.

"Their role is often crucial in helping unearth information which can help locate suspects and resolve criminal or antisocial activity, the likes of which often cause great distress.

"Dealing with anti-social behaviour remains one of our key priorities, but it is also important that residents continue to report any incidents to us, particularly when they are happening.

"If possible always take down any number plates, which will assist us in taking action, should we identify anyone driving in an anti-social or dangerous manner."
