Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a serious collision on the B2027 just outside Leigh, near Tonbridge.

Firefighters had to release a man who was trapped in his red BMW after it crashed into a tree between the junctions with Cinderhill Lane and Penshurst Road, last night.

Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the 29-year-old victim who was treated at the scene by paramedics and then taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.
