Children have been warned about the dangers of falling through the ice on lakes and ponds.
Grandmother Jane Marsh was out walking at Haysden Park in Tonbridge when she spotted children venturing out as far as 15 ft onto the ice.
She said that while the ice may appear solid, there are places where it is weaker and children could fall through.
She said: “I saw a dog fall through the ice, and parents walking out and taking a picture on the ice as well. It’s totally stupid, it's madness.
"I wouldn't normally comment or ask them not to, but it's really dangerous. I'm a grandmother and I would be horrified if my children or grandchildren were allowed on the ice like that."
