Rail passengers are warned of long delays between Tonbridge and Hastings due to a broken down train.

The problems were caused after the 9.47am Hastings to Charing Cross service developed a fault at Fant, blocking the line towards Tunbridge Wells.

Southeastern says trains between Hastings and Tonbridge may be cancelled, delayed or revised while engineers try to get it back on the move.

Commuters have reported delays of more than an hour, and disruption is expected until 1.30pm.

The issues have come the same day as the results of a passenger satisfaction survey, which found that passengers feel Southeastern services have been getting more punctual, on the whole.
