Traffic delays after crash on A26 Maidstone Road in Hadlow, near Tonbridge

There were long delays on a busy route following a crash.

It is understood a motorbike was involved in a collision on the A26 Maidstone Road in Hadlow, near Tonbridge, between Grove Close and Stanford Lane.

Kent Highways posted on Twitter about the incident shortly before 6pm.

"Reports of an RTC on A26 Maidstone Road Hadlow," it said.

"Please allow extra time for your journey and expect delays."

Traffic information site Inrix said the road was partially blocked and a motorbike had been involved, but details of the crash are yet to be confirmed.

It also said there was slow traffic due to the incident. Just after 7.15pm, Inrix reported the accident had now been cleared.

The emergency services have been contacted for more information.
