B2027 shut in both directions between Camp Hill, Tonbridge and Hale Oak Road after tree falls down

A road has closed after a tree fell down, knocking out local phone lines.

The B2027 is shut in both directions between Camp Hill, in Tonbridge and Hale Oak Road.

Power cables have also fallen down. Police confirmed on social media that they are on the scene.

Strong winds were predicted for today by the Met Office , with the weather experts issuing a yellow warning.

The Met Office also warned drivers that some damage to trees could occur, leading to debris on the roads. Temporary power disruptions were also predicted.
