Trains have been delayed for many commuters after problems with line-side equipment caused a fire on the rails.

Southeastern had to switched off power between Hildenborough and Tonbridge this morning while staff work to fix the problem.

The current has been switched back on at Hildenborough but there are still delays on trains heading from Sevenoaks towards Tonbridge.

The suspended service between Orpington and Tonbridge also caused delays to trains heading in the other direction, which reached 30 minutes at their peak.
