Branbridges Road was flooded at Christmas 2013

Residents and businesses affected by flooding in the Tonbridge and Malling area earlier this year are invited to a “flood fair” to obtain advice on how to protect their premises in future.

There will be two fairs led by the National Flood Forum, and organised by the borough council, with an exhibition of flood protection equipment and advice on how to apply for grants of up to £5,000 under the government’s Repair and Renew Grant Scheme.

On hand will be representatives from the Environment Agency, Kent County Council, Southern Water, Public Health England and the East Peckham Flood Group.

The fairs will be on Saturday, April 5, from 11am to 3pm, in East Peckham Village Hall, Bush Road, and again on Saturday, April 12, from 10am to 3pm at Hildenborough Village Hall in Riding Lane.
