Figures released by the Office of National Statistics on the state of the nation's mental health during the Covid pandemic themselves make depressing reading.

It seems in June last year, almost one in five adults (19%) in Kent was likely to be experiencing some form of depression, almost double the rate pre-Covid.

Heather Roberts, founder of Find You Be You

When you think about those who have lost their jobs, or are struggling on reduced incomes, or those trying to balance home-schooling the kids while holding down a full-time job, it is not surprising.

Add to the that, being confined at home and not being able to see friends and relatives.

Fortunately help is at hand.

The Tonbridge-based company Find You - Be You offers counselling, coaching and training services across Kent.

Founded in 2018 by Heather Roberts, the business is expanding to meet the increased demand.

Mrs Roberts said: "Our counsellors and coaches have responded to the pandemic by providing their services online.

"The well-being and development of clients is at the heart of the services we provide.

"All our team are qualified professionals, experienced and registered with a professional body."

The firm has just taken on two new staff. Louise Hales is a counsellor with seven years' experience and specialises in working with young adults, particularly within a college and university setting.

Jo Hayes has 20 years’ experience in HR and has an executive coach accreditation with the Association of Coaching. Her passion is helping executives and senior management through professional and personal challenges.
