Making pregnancy as tranquil an experience as possible for expectant mums is the aim of new relaxation classes taking place in Tonbridge.

The classes offer gentle stretching, breathing exercises, and examples of labour positions for mums-to-be.

Some of the benefits include improved quality of sleep, reduced anxiety, strengthened joints and improved posture.

Hannah Appelgren a local teacher said: “These are not classes for the super-fit – any expectant mum can take part whether it’s your first child or you’re already a mother.

"You don’t need to have had any previous experience such as yoga either. It’s all about making pregnancy a really positive experience. I look forward to seeing new and familiar faces at the classes.”
