Tonbridge pub owner's Arctic Circle challenge to raise money for Rett syndrome

A pub owner from Tonbridge is planning a one of a kind challenge to raise money to help find a cure for a rare genetic disorder.

Frank Synek is travelling to the Arctic Circle - where temperatures can reach -50C - to spend a month alone in the wilderness.

KMTV discuss the challenge with Frank Synek

Armed only with a sleeping bag and some basic essentials such as fire-starting equipment and a compass, he will be relying on his survival skills to make it through.

Mr Synek, who runs The Beer Seller pub, has been inspired by the plight of the daughter of some of his regulars who suffers from Rett syndrome (RTT).
