Closure of A21 Tonbridge Bypass causes traffic congestion

Busy roads around Tonbridge are snarled up this evening due to the closure of the A21.

The Tonbridge Bypass is due to be shut in both directions between the A26 and A225 until Monday, February 24 to allow for viaduct repair works.

But it is causing chaos, with congestion to A26 Quarry Hill Road, the High Street and all along the London Road through Hilden Park.

The closure is also affecting routes through Penshurst - adding to existing roadworks delays in Mereworth and Borough Green.
