A train that broke down between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells earlier this morning has been fixed and services have resumed.

But delays of up to an hour are expected until services completely recover.

Southeastern said there is no firm estimate yet of how long disruption will last, but it is likely to continue until at least 1pm.

All services between Hastings and Tonbridge were disrupted as a result of the failure between Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge.

Southeastern advised passengers they can use their tickets on Southern services between Hastings and Ashford and change there for a service to London Victoria or Charing Cross.

Passengers travelling into London can use their tickets on the London Underground via any reasonable route.
