Commuters in Ashford and Tonbridge are experiencing difficult journeys again today as guards on the Southern network go on strike.
RMT members are walking out for the next three days over a row about whether drivers or conductors should open train doors.
It is the first of five planned walk-outs over the next few months.
Union members walked out at midnight after a last-minute legal challenge failed to prevent the latest action.
Southern bosses said, although services had been significantly affected, they still hoped to run more than 60% of the normal timetable.
