Ahmed Boudabbous charged after alleged theft from Sainsbury's store, he jumped onto the train track in Tonbridge before being arrested

An alleged shoplifter who ran along a train track after stealing from a supermarket in Tonbridge has been charged by police.

Ahmed Boudabbous, 19, of Silverdale Road has been charged with theft and trespassing on the railway.

Police were called just after 3pm yesterday to reports of a man stealing from the town's Sainbury's store.

The man reportedly got on the train at Tonbridge

The suspect was identified and ran towards Tonbridge train station where he ran onto the tracks.

He later emerged at Gladstone Road and was arrested by officers.

Boudabbous has been released on bail and will appear before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on January, 2.
