Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council organised Discovery Day at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge

Dozens of children with special needs from six different schools took part in a Discovery Day event at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge this week.

Organised by Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council in conjunction with the leisure trust, the day provided the children with a range of sporting activities to take part in.

It was sponspored by Fidelity Worldwide investments who also volunteered ten members of their staff to help run the day.

Those involved took part in cricket, trampolining, tennis, arts & crafts, boxfit, dance, football and much more on Thursday, October 9.

Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling, Cllr Sasha Luck, opened the Discovery Day, she said: “There were some great activities for the children to enjoy and it was lovely to see some of them trying something new for the first time.

"Big thanks to everyone involved in making the Discovery Day happen – it was a fun day, enjoyed by all.”

The Tonbridge Lions Club supported the event.
