Britain's smallest horse, who enjoys life in the fields of Tonbridge, has befriended a fellow animal of short stature.

MicroDave, a grey Cult colt, was born two weeks early and measured just 45cm tall.

The american miniature stallion - who is half the size of a regular foal of the same breed - got his unusual name from his father, Dave.

Mrs Baldwin-Murphy, of Lower Haysden Lane, has helped the friendly foal find a friend in the form of one of the UK's tiniest pigs.

Having melted the hearts of the nation and racked up millions of fans, the blue eyed American miniature stallion is clearly loving the fact that there are others his own size to play with.

Mrs Baldwin-Murphy said: “MicroDave hasn’t been blessed with the biggest of legs, but he has a big heart and was in desperate need of a friend.

"Up until meeting Bean he was quite confused about the world and his place in it – so it’s great to see this pint sized piggy friend seems to have made him happy”.
