A woman in Tonbridge was treated by ambulance crews after being kicked in the head by a horse

A woman was taken to hospital after being kicked in the head by a horse in Tonbridge.

Emergency crews including the air ambulance were called at 3.10pm after the woman, aged in her 30s, suffered the injury in farmland near Long Mill Lane in Dunks Green.

It is believed she fell off the horse and was kicked once on the ground.

The woman was kicked in the head by the horse she was riding

Paramedics assessed the woman, who was complaining of head and chest pain, before taking her to Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury for further treatment.

Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
