A body has been found following a four-day search for a missing man.
Police trying to locate the 84-year-old made the tragic discovery this morning, after attending the Racecourse Park area in Tonbridge.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but his family have been informed.
A police spokesman said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner."
The pensioner was first reported missing from his home in Tonbridge on Tuesday, after he was last seen at 3pm that day.
And on Thursday, divers were spotted searching parts of the River Medway as they intensified their search for the pensioner.
Officers descended en masse close to the town swimming pool and New Wharf Road, before a search-and-rescue helicopter was called to the area.
The spokesman added: "We attended the Racecourse Park area this morning and the body of a man was later located.
"Formal identification has not yet taken place, however, the family of an 84-year-old man who was reported missing on Tuesday have been informed."
