Cyclist killed in lorry smash

A CYCLIST died after a collision with an articulated lorry on the A21 between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells yesterday.

Police are still waiting to formally identify the victim, who was a man from the Pembury area.

The accident occurred at about 12.15pm on the northbound side of the dual carriageway, shortly before the Tonbridge slip road.

The A21 was closed in both directions from the North Farm roundabout, Tunbridge Wells, via Castle Hill to Tonbridge, for about four hours.

Traffic was diverted through Five Oak Green.
