Delays on London-bound A21 between Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge after car hits central reservation

Queues of up to two miles of traffic formed on the A21 after a car hit the central reservation.

Drivers heading London-bound between Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge were caught up in the congestion after the crash at about 5pm.

The accident happened between the Tunbridge Wells turn-off at the North Farm Roundabout and the Tonbridge turn-off at the junction with the A26 at the Vauxhall Roundabout.

Traffic is understood to have been temporarily held at about 5.15pm.

One lane remained closed after the crash but had been reopened as of 6.20pm.
