A 45-year-old woman has been charged with drink driving after a crash which closed a road for two hours

Three vehicles were involved in the smash on Maidstone Road in Tonbridge which police were called to at 5.13pm.

Officers attended the scene along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service, where no injuries were reported.

The road was closed between Badsell Road and the roundabout at Branbridges Road until around 7pm.

Melanie Wickens of Whetsted Road in Tonbridge was charged on Sunday and released on bail.

She is due to appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, December 18.
