The aim of work is to add a lane in each direction, upgrade junctions and improve the overall layout.
The footage has been posted in a public group on Facebook and users have begun discussing the work's progress.
Sally Williams said: "Amazing footage and such brilliant quality, thanks for sharing it. So sad to see all the devastation of trees and woodland and I can't quite understand what's happening in some places but it seems the contractors are staying true to their promise that the project would be fairly quick. Fingers crossed this continues."
Will Northcote added: "It needs dualing but the devastation around the junction with the industrial estate is incredible. Would be interesting to see what happens going the other way over Knights Park."
Lynn Ripley said: "Wow this is amazing and a touch depressing at the same time."
