Female attack victim suffers fractured skull

TWO people who may have tried to stop an attack in which a woman suffered a fractured skull are being urged to contact police.

A 30-year-old victim was walking along Quarry Hill, Tonbridge, towards Woodside Road late at night. She recalls a man trying to grab her phone from behind her.

A second man pushed her to the floor and it appears she lost consciousness for a short time.

When she came round she made her way home. Nothing was taken from her.

The incident happened at about 10pm on December 19. A few days later the woman was taken to hospital after she collapsed, possibly due to head injuries suffered during the incident.

She was transferred to a hospital in London for treatment for a fractured skull. Her condition is now said to be stable.

Police have established that two people may have chased away the men responsible, and officers are keen to speak to these individuals as they may have information that will be of assistance.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01732 379217 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
