A town’s fireworks gala has become the latest display to be called off.
The Tonbridge Annual Fireworks Display has been postponed following nearly a week of heavy rainfall across the county.
It was due to take place tonight (Sunday) at the Racecourse Sports Ground in Tonbridge Park.
Gates were due to open at 5pm, with the display itself starting at 6.30pm.
Run by Tonbridge Round Table, it first took place in 2012.
A spokesman for the event said: "Unfortunately due to recent heavy rain, Tonbridge park is partially flooded.
"If you have already purchased entry to the event, your tickets are automatically valid for the postponement date.
"If you wish to make a refund request, this will be facilitated as soon as possible.
"Please be patient as we are currently busy making arrangements for this with our payment provider.
"You will be emailed with refund request details as soon as we have them.
"Thank you in advance for your understanding and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
"Our team of volunteers will do our very best to make sure the show goes on."
The display at Tonbridge Park will now take place on Sunday, November 19.
Yesterday, celebrations in Ashford and Birchington-on-Sea were postponed.
The Hook and Hatchet Inn in Hucking, near Maidstone, also cancelled its event for Saturday.
Today, flooding closed the A2 near Dover.
It was reopened as of 1pm, having been shut for more than seven hours.
