THREE women and two men charged in connection with the record breaking £53million Securitas robbery in Kent will stand trial at the Old Bailey in October.

Kim Shackleton, 40, Raluca Millen, 27, Katie Philp, 24, and Michael Demitris, 31, will be joined in the dock by Paul Allen, 29, who was charged on Thursday.

He appeared at Maidstone Magistrates' Court this morning and was remanded in custody.

Today at the Old Bailey prosecutor Sir John Nutting, QC, applied to delay the trial from April 2 to October 1.

The application was approved by Mr Justice Penry-Davey who said it should "ensure sufficient time for the preparation of the case".

Allen, Millen, Philp and Demitris are all charged with conspiracy to rob, conspiracy to kidnap and conspiracy to possess firearms in relation to the record-breaking raid at the Securitas cash depository in Tonbridge, Kent, on February 21 and 22 2006.

Shackleton is charged alone with assisting to dispose of metal cash cages belonging to Securitas.

None of the defendants were in court for the hearing.

Shackleton, from Maidstone; Millen, from Tunbridge Wells; Philp, from Tonbridge and Demitris, from Bromley, remain on bail.

Allen, of Chatham, Kent, was remanded in custody.

On Tuesday five men were jailed for up to 140 years after being convicted at the Old Bailey following a seven month trial.

Stuart Royle, 49, Emir Hysenaj, 28, Jetmir Bucpapa, 26, Lea Rusha, 35, and Roger Coutts, 30, were convicted of conspiracy to kidnap, conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to possess a firearm.
